The Sculpt

The mould is almost done!!! Here are some pics of the "LeatherFace" mask sculpture right before I moulded it. It's always hard to imagine what the mask will end up like from now until the final paint job but here is a sneak peak! Enjoy :)

The Head Cast

The wonderful experience of getting a head cast... If you've never had one done before, it's worth a try! The alginate (purple goop that makes an impression of the face) gets applied all over the desired area. Having at least two people is the most ideal way to get it going. One person can focus on the front of the model and the other the back ensuring that the model gets covered completely. My assistant Thomas did a great job and the end result was exactly what we wanted!

Head casts are always good to have, especially if your interested in creating masks that will fit you perfectly. Here are some shots from this past month. The head cast was created for a client named Paul. He will be making his own Batman mask and costume for Montreal's up and coming Comiccon!

If you are interested if getting your own head casted check out our Custom Designs page for further information!

Shock Stock Convention

What a great time it was at London, Ontario's very own horror convention "Shock Stock". I suggest any big horror/underground VHS/DVD collectors to swing by next year, it was really worth the drive! There was tons of awesome merchandise (Horror tees, art, film posters, movies galore etc..) and on top of all that the guests were awesome. Here are some pics from our weekend. Check them out!  Visit us next year as we are already planning on being there, April 2013.
